RIYADH -- Saudi Arabia has officially cancelled an expatriate levy on foreign workers employed at licensed industrial facilities, a move aimed at supporting the sector's sustainability and global competitiveness, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.

JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that he had approved a gas deal worth 112 billion shekels (about 34.7 billion U.S. dollars) under which Israel will supply natural gas to Egypt.

GAZA/JERUSALEM -- Eleven Palestinians were injured on Wednesday in Israeli shelling in Gaza City, according to eyewitnesses and Palestinian medical sources.

TUNIS -- A solar photovoltaic power station built by Chinese companies was inaugurated on Tuesday in central Tunisia's Kairouan province.

Tunisian Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy Fatma Thabet Chiboub said at the inauguration ceremony that the project is Tunisia's largest photovoltaic power generation initiative, projected to reduce Tunisia's natural gas imports by approximately 22 million U.S. dollars annually and save around 15 million dollars in fuel costs.
