Nearly 297,500 businesses enter Vietnamese market in 2025

HANOI, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam saw nearly 297,500 businesses enter the market in 2025, up 27.4 percent year on year, the Vietnam News Agency reported Thursday, citing the National Statistics Office of Vietnam.

Of the total, about 195,100 were newly established, with combined registered capital of 1.9 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 75.6 billion U.S. dollars), up 24.1 percent in both the number of new firms and registered capital, said the report.

Meanwhile, more than 102,300 businesses resumed operations, an increase of 34.3 percent from the previous year, marking a record and pointing to increasingly solid business confidence, according to the report.

Total additional registered capital injected into the economy reached nearly 6.4 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 254.6 billion dollars) in 2025, up 77.8 percent from 2024.
