NEW YORK -- The United States will impose 10-percent tariffs on all goods from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Britain, the Netherlands and Finland over Greenland starting on Feb. 1, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday.
Those tariffs would increase to 25 percent on June 1, and would continue until a deal is reached for the United States to purchase Greenland, he said on social media. (US-Greenland-Tariffs)

BRUSSELS -- U.S. President Donald Trump's threat to impose new tariffs on eight European countries unless Denmark accept a deal over Greenland has drawn swift rebukes from Nordic capitals and major European leaders, fueled calls for an EU-level response, and cast fresh doubt over the implementation of last year's EU-U.S. tariff "truce."
In a social media post on Saturday, Trump said the United States would levy a 10-percent tariff from Feb. 1 on goods from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Britain, the Netherlands and Finland. TEHRAN -- Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on Saturday that Iran had defeated the United States and Israel "once again" and had "extinguished the sedition" he alleged was incited by Washington and Tel Aviv.

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia has arrested a total of 75 online scam suspects in the latest crackdown on the cyber scams, said a press release from the Ad-Hoc Committee to Combat Online Scams on Saturday.
They were apprehended on Friday during raids on a hotel and a guesthouse in the capital Phnom Penh for allegedly conducting online scams and staying in the kingdom illegally, it said. (Cambodia-Scam-Arrest)

CARACAS -- Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez said on Friday that 47 soldiers of Venezuela's Bolivarian National Armed Forces were killed in the Jan. 3 U.S. attack on the South American nation.
