OSLO -- In a rebuke to the latest tariffs announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, the eight European countries targeted by the tariffs issued a joint statement on Sunday, affirming their "full solidarity" with Denmark and Greenland and warning that the U.S. actions risk triggering a "dangerous downward spiral" in transatlantic relations.

KATHMANDU -- Five people were killed and 12 others injured in a bus accident in eastern Nepal's Dharan in Sunsari district on Sunday evening, said a local police officer.

SEOUL -- A drone allegedly flown into the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) was suspected of involving two former staffers of the presidential office under South Korean ex-President Yoon Suk-yeol, Yonhap News Agency reported Sunday.
The two men, both in their 30s and former employees at the Yongsan presidential office, are under investigation by a joint military-police team. (South Korea-DPRK)

PARIS -- French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday slammed U.S. tariff threats over Greenland as "unacceptable," stressing that Europeans will respond in a united and coordinated manner should they be confirmed.
