BUCHAREST, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and three others injured in a serious road accident on Romania's National Road DN 6, police said on Tuesday.
According to the Timis County Police Inspectorate, the crash involved a minibus traveling from Greece to France. The vehicle was traveling from the town of Caransebes toward Lugoj when the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle.
Police said that while trying to return to the correct lane, the minibus collided with a tanker truck and then struck a second truck traveling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the minibus and five passengers died in the crash. Three other passengers sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for medical treatment.
