NEW DELHI, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Indian security forces killed at least two armed rebels in an encounter that took place in the country's central state of Chhattisgarh on Thursday.
A huge cache of ammunition, including AK-47 rifles, was also recovered from the site.
The encounter between security forces and the armed rebels took place in Bijapur area when a search operation was carried out.
This year, over 20 armed rebels had been killed in India, while nearly 300 were eliminated last year. Enditem
