ALMATY, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan's manufacturing sector expanded by 6.4 percent in 2025, driven by increased production capacity and the implementation of investment projects nationwide, the press service of the Kazakh prime minister said Tuesday.
The fastest growth was recorded in the production of fabricated metal products, which rose 13.6 percent, followed by light industry at 13.2 percent and mechanical engineering at 12.9 percent. The chemical industry posted growth of 9.8 percent, while the production of construction materials increased by 9.7 percent.
Growth was also seen in metallurgy at 1.2 percent, the rubber and plastics segment at 7.6 percent, and paper production at 5.3 percent. Enditem
