TEHRAN -- A drone belonging to Iran's armed forces completed a "surveillance mission" in international waters Tuesday, Iranian media reported, shortly after the U.S. military said it had shot down an Iranian aircraft that "aggressively approached" an aircraft carrier.

KHARTOUM -- The Sudanese army on Tuesday announced that its units have entered Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan State in southern Sudan, after more than two years of siege under the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and its allied forces.
