TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said the second round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States was held in a more "constructive" atmosphere in Geneva on Tuesday compared to the previous round in Oman.

In a post on his Telegram, the Iranian minister said the two sides reached a general agreement on a number of guiding principles, which will proceed and enter into the text of a possible agreement. (Iran-U.S.)

DUBAI -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Space Agency on Tuesday announced the extension of the Emirates Mars Mission (EMM) until 2028, according to local daily Al Etihad.

The mission, carried out by the Hope Probe, was originally launched as a two-year project and entered Mars' orbit in 2021. MANILA -- The confirmed death toll from the sinking of a passenger ferry off Basilan province in the southern Philippines has risen to 62 after divers recovered more bodies from the wreck, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said Tuesday.
