NEW DELHI -- Five persons died in India's eastern state of Bihar after allegedly consuming spurious liquor at a pre-wedding ceremony, confirmed a local government official on Friday.

SEOUL -- Former South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol apologized to the public on Friday following a lower court's decision to sentence him to life in prison for insurrection charges stemming from his martial law declaration.

TOKYO -- Five people were killed in a fire that broke out at a temple in the western Japan prefecture of Yamaguchi, early Friday, local media reported.
Public broadcaster NHK reported that local fire authorities received an emergency call at around 2:30 a.m. local time saying that the two-story wooden temple in Shimonoseki, which has a residential area connected to it, was on fire. (Japan-Fire-Deaths)
