TEHRAN -- Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said on Tuesday Iran is determined to reach a "fair and equitable" deal with the United States as soon as possible, noting that the two countries "have a historic opportunity to strike an unprecedented agreement."

MOSCOW -- Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday instructed Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) to enhance the security of officials from the country's Ministry of Defense and the military-industrial complex.

KABUL -- Sediqullah Nusrat, deputy spokesman of the Afghanistan Ministry of Defense, confirmed to Xinhua that clashes had taken place between Afghan security forces and Pakistani troops in Nangarhar province on Tuesday.
