KABUL, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Police have discovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG), from a house in the eastern Afghanistan Khost province, provincial police spokesman Tahir Ehrar said Wednesday.
The weaponry, including an RPG, eight stocks of hand grenades and hundreds of bullets and projectiles, was recovered from a house in Tanai districts recently, the official added.
Without providing more details, the official noted that no authorized person has the right to keep or carry arms illegally.
The Afghan government, as part of efforts to stabilize peace and ensure law and order, has vowed to collect arms and ammunition from anyone living outside the security organs in the post-war country. Enditem
