KATHMANDU, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Over a dozen scheduled flights between Kathmandu and cities in Gulf countries were cancelled on Saturday after several Middle Eastern nations closed their airspace after the United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran.
Nepal aviation authorities said that as many as 14 flights scheduled for Saturday, both departures from Kathmandu to Gulf destinations and arrivals from those cities, were cancelled.
Following the cancellations, Tribhuvan International Airport was crowded with stranded passengers. The airport said it is closely coordinating with airlines and concerned agencies to ensure smooth and effective passenger management. Enditem
