JERUSALEM, March 4 (Xinhua) -- EuroLeague Basketball announced on Wednesday the alternative venues where teams from Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host their remaining regular-season home games.
Hapoel Tel Aviv will play its home games at Arena 8888 in Sofia, Bulgaria, while Maccabi Tel Aviv will host in Belgrade, Serbia, at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.
Dubai Basketball will stage its home fixtures at Zetra Arena in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The three teams are unable to play in their home countries because of the security situation in the Middle East.
EuroLeague said it will continue to monitor developments and remain in contact with all relevant parties, and will announce any changes if the situation changes.
The league added that it is assessing options to reschedule games involving the three teams that were scheduled to take place this week.
In EuroCup, EuroLeague Basketball's second-tier competition, Hapoel Jerusalem will host its remaining home games at Ranko Zeravica Sports Hall in Belgrade. Enditem
