BEIRUT -- Israeli warplanes launched a new wave of airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs late Thursday, hours after Israel warned all residents to evacuate the entire Dahieh area, local broadcaster al-Jadeed reported.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he will replace Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem amid growing bipartisan frustration with Noem's leadership.

"I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected United States Senator from the Great State of Oklahoma, Markwayne Mullin, will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS), effective March 31, 2026," Trump said on Truth Social.

"The current Secretary, Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results ... will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida. TEHRAN -- Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has said that his country is not requesting a ceasefire with the United States and Israel, and does not see any reason to negotiate with Washington.

He made the remarks in an interview with U.S. broadcaster NBC News aired on Thursday.

"We are not asking for a ceasefire, and we don't see any reason why we should negotiate with the United States when we negotiated with them twice, and every time, they attacked us in the middle of the negotiations," Araghchi said. (Iran-U.S.-Conflict)

BRASILIA -- The First Chamber of Brazil's Supreme Federal Court on Thursday rejected a request for humanitarian house arrest for former President Jair Bolsonaro, who was sentenced to over 27 years in prison.
