DUBAI, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Residents in Dubai received mobile alerts on Friday warning of a potential missile threat and urging them to seek shelter.
The alert advised residents to immediately seek a safe place in the nearest secure building and stay away from windows, doors and open areas.
In a post on social media platform X, the UAE Ministry of Interior said air defense systems were responding to a missile threat and urged the public to remain in safe locations and follow warnings and updates.
Earlier on Friday, the Dubai Media Office said on X that debris from a successful interception during another wave of attacks in the early hours caused minor damage to the facade of a building in central Dubai, with no injuries reported. Enditem
