MADRID, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Atletico Madrid will be without Spain international midfielder Pablo Barrios for several weeks after the club confirmed he has suffered another injury setback.
"Pablo Barrios suffered a muscle injury in his right thigh towards the end of Thursday's training session. The Madrid-born midfielder left the session with discomfort, and tests by the medical staff confirmed the injury," confirmed the Atletico website.
The club explains Barrios will "undergo physiotherapy sessions and rehabilitation work in the gym, and his return to competition will depend on the progress of his injury."
Barrios suffered the injury just after completing his recovery from another problem at the start of February which saw him miss eight matches.
