KABUL -- At least 17 people have been killed and 26 others injured in rain-related accidents in Afghanistan during the last 24 hours, the National Disaster Management Authority announced on Sunday.
Heavy rains triggered flash floods, along with landslides, thunder and lightning, across the country, including parts of Parwan, Daykundi, Wardak and Logar provinces, said Hafiz Mohammad Yusuf Hammad, spokesman for the authority. (Afghanistan-Accidents-Floods)

MANILA -- More gas stations across the country that had temporarily shut down due to fuel supply disruptions resumed operations, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has said.
In a statement posted Saturday, PNP said that as of 9 p.m. Friday, the number of temporary closures of 425 stations had been reduced to 409, out of 14,479 stations being monitored. (Philippines-Gas Stations)
