TOKYO, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Japan's benchmark Nikkei stock index rose over 4 percent in early Wednesday trading after U.S. President Donald Trump said he has agreed to "suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks."
At 9:15 a.m. local time, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 2,459.11 points, or 4.60 percent, from Tuesday at 55,888.67. The broader Topix index was 107.00 points, or 2.93 percent, higher at 3,761.02. Enditem
