NEW DELHI, April 23 (Xinhua) -- At least 11 people were killed in a multi-vehicle collision in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, police said Thursday.
The accident took place on Wednesday night in the Dramandganj area of Mirzapur, about 284 km southeast of Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh.
According to police, the accident was triggered by a brake failure of a goods truck while descending the steep road, which hit several vehicles on its way.
Police have registered a case and ordered an investigation into the accident. Enditem
