MOSCOW, May 4 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and seven others injured in attacks on Russia's Belgorod region, local authorities said Monday.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Belgorod region, said the strikes targeted three municipalities using drones and rockets. A man died after sustaining severe injuries in a drone attack, and those wounded include a child.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Ministry of Defense said air defense systems had shot down 507 unmanned aerial vehicles over the past 24 hours, along with eight guided aerial bombs and seven rockets fired from the U.S.-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system. Enditem
