TEHRAN -- Iran's military said Monday its naval forces fired cruise missiles, rockets, and drones near U.S. warships in the Gulf of Oman to warn them against entering the Strait of Hormuz, escalating tensions in the strategic waterway.

TEHRAN -- Iran has no plan to target the United Arab Emirates (UAE), state-run IRIB news agency reported on Monday, citing a senior military source.
The source's remarks came as the UAE's Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday that Iranian missiles and drones struck civilian sites. TEHRAN -- Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) on Monday unveiled a map outlining a new "area of control" in the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway through which about a fifth of the world's oil passes.

ANKARA -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday called on the European Union to refrain from actions and rhetoric that could undermine Türkiye's "constructive stance," saying "strategic myopia" toward the country "persists unfortunately and quite visibly" across many of the bloc's institutions.
