MOSCOW, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Four people, including a child, were killed and 28 others injured in an overnight drone attack on Russia's Ryazan Region, local authorities said Friday.
Ryazan regional governor Pavel Malkov said two local multi-story residential buildings were also damaged in the attack, adding that debris from downed drones fell on the premises of an industrial enterprise.
Earlier in the day, Russia's Defense Ministry said air defense systems had intercepted and destroyed 355 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions during the night. Malkov said the Ryazan region was attacked by 99 drones overnight.
Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said Friday that Ukrainian forces have hit the Ryazan oil refinery, ships, ammunition depots and radar stations, adding that a large-scale fire was reported at the oil facility.
The General Staff added that the Ryazan oil refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, with a processing capacity of about 17 million tons of oil per year. Enditem
