ISLAMABAD, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar said Friday that his country has successfully repatriated Pakistani and Iranian seafarers aboard vessels seized by the United States near Singaporean waters.
In a statement shared on social media, Dar said that the country successfully repatriated 11 Pakistani nationals, alongside 20 nationals from Iran, through Singapore.
Dar said that the Pakistani and Iranian nationals had arrived in Bangkok from Singapore and boarded a flight scheduled to reach Islamabad later on Friday.
Pakistan would also facilitate the onward return of the Iranian nationals to their homeland, he added.
He also thanked the governments of Singapore, Thailand and the United States for their support and coordination during the repatriation process. Enditem
