LOS ANGELES, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Disneyland Resort in Southern California is rolling out a series of new attractions, including live entertainment offerings and themed merchandise, as part of its summer program aimed at attracting more visitors, resort officials said.
The resort is launching the program, dubbed "Kids Rule Summer," while continuing the 70th-anniversary festivities.
The seasonal lineup features new experiences inspired by popular franchises including Star Wars and Bluey, as well as live entertainment, themed merchandise, specialty food offerings and discounted tickets designed to encourage family travel during the peak summer season.
Arielle Harris, a Disneyland Resort cast member, told Xinhua that the new offerings are expected to appeal to international visitors, including travelers from China and other parts of Asia.
The resort is also introducing "Soarin' Across America," a limited-time attraction to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
"The 250th anniversary of the United States gives us a great opportunity to showcase the beautiful tapestry of the country," said Jared Negron, assistant producer of "Soarin' Across America." Enditem
