NEW DELHI, May 22 (Xinhua) -- India's foreign exchange (forex) reserves fell by 8.094 billion U.S. dollars to 688.894 billion U.S. dollars during the week ended May 15, according to the weekly bulletin released by the country's central bank, the Reserve Bank of India, on Friday.
According to the bulletin, the forex reserves' main component, Foreign Currency Assets, decreased by 6.483 billion U.S. dollars to 545.904 billion U.S. dollars, while the Gold Reserves fell by 15.36 billion U.S. dollars to 119.317 billion U.S. dollars.
The Special Drawing Rights decreased by 49 million U.S. dollars to 18.824 billion U.S. dollars, and the country's position in the International Monetary Fund weakened by 25 million U.S. dollars to 4.85 billion U.S. dollars. Enditem
