BEIRUT -- Israeli strikes on southern and eastern Lebanon killed at least 18 people and wounded more than 20 others on Tuesday, according to Lebanon's official sources, as Israel intensified its bombardment campaign across southern Lebanon.

JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that large Israeli ground forces were "deepening" their operation in Lebanon, and seizing "dominating areas."

TEHRAN -- Iran has demanded the release of its frozen assets worth 24 billion U.S. dollars during the negotiations with the United States on ending the war, Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Tuesday.
