FRANKFURT, June 4 (Xinhua) -- The nose wheel of a Lufthansa plane collapsed at Frankfurt Airport on Thursday, leaving several staff members injured, according to local media reports.
The nose landing gear of the Boeing 787 jetliner suddenly collapsed at 12:45 local time (1045 GMT) when crew members and ground staff were on board.
The incident occurred while the plane was waiting at the gate before passengers boarded the jet, which was scheduled to operate flight LH450 from Frankfurt to Los Angeles. The flight was canceled after the incident.
Lufthansa said in a statement that the injured employees are receiving medical treatment and authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident. Enditem
