SAN DIEGO, United States, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Jhon Arias scored either side of halftime as Colombia beat Jordan 2-0 in their FIFA World Cup warmup on Sunday.

Arias opened the scoring by running onto James Rodriguez's one-touch pass and calmly slotting his shot into the far corner.

Palmeiras midfielder Arias doubled the advantage when he timed his run to perfection to head home following Santiago Arias' cross from the right wing.

Jordan finished the match with 10 men after Amer Jamous was shown a second yellow card in the 90th minute for a rash challenge on Jorge Carrascal.

The friendly was the last chance for both sides to test their squads before the World Cup kicks off in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Colombia will begin its campaign against Uzbekistan on June 17 before facing the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Portugal in Group K.

Jordan, playing in its first World Cup finals, will meet Austria on June 16 before confronting Algeria and Argentina in Group J. Enditem
