YANGON, June 14 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar aims to achieve growth momentum in foreign trade, targeting over 29 billion U.S. dollars in the 2026-2027 fiscal year, The Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Sunday.
Myanmar will endeavor to achieve 15.3 billion dollars in exports and 14.7 billion dollars in imports in the 2026-2027 fiscal year, the report said, citing the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization.
Additionally, Myanmar's foreign trade is expected to expand by about 1 billion dollars year over year, reaching 30 billion dollars in the 2027-2028 fiscal year, 31.2 billion dollars in 2028-2029, 32.1 billion dollars in 2029-2030 and 33 billion dollars in 2030-2031, it said.
The country sets its foreign trade targets depending on export and import conditions, it added. Enditem
