ISLAMABAD, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday welcomed the announcement of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran, saying it could pave the way for a final agreement and lasting regional peace.
In a statement on X, Zardari said Pakistan had consistently supported dialogue and diplomacy during the period of tensions and viewed the development as a positive step toward resolving disputes through engagement and mutual respect.
He said the agreement would help strengthen multilateralism and contribute to peace, stability and prosperity in the region and beyond. Enditem
