Addressing the reception, Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Wang Yajun said that China, following the historical trend, has proposed the Global Civilization Initiative, calling for cultural exchanges to transcend estrangement, mutual learning to transcend clashes, and coexistence to transcend feelings of superiority.

The initiative, Wang said, has shed light on the way forward for a shared future for humanity and provided a systematic thought framework and a practical path for global dialogue among civilizations.

Kim said in his address that the establishment of the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations has greatly contributed to promoting exchanges and cooperation among nations and civilizations, and building a just international order.

With the historic meeting of the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries in Pyongyang as a great opportunity, Kim said, the DPRK side is ready to work with the Chinese side to further promote the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and to enhance bilateral cultural exchanges and cooperation.
