CANBERRA, June 19 (Xinhua) -- The Australian government on Friday announced it will provide an additional 100 million Australian dollars (70 million U.S. dollars) in assistance to Ukraine.
Richard Marles, the deputy prime minister and minister for defense, said in a statement that Australia will make two 50-million-AUD (35-million-USD) commitments to NATO's Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) over the next 12 months.
It follows an initial 50 million AUD commitment made by Australia to the PURL in December 2025 and takes Australia's total overall support for Ukraine to over 1.8 billion AUD (about 1.3 billion USD), Marles said. Enditem
