KABUL, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has signed a 67 million U.S. dollar contract for the development of a local cement project in northern Afghanistan's Samangan province, the official media Bakhtar News Agency reported on Friday.
According to the report, the project is expected to generate employment opportunities for around 600 people, contributing to economic growth and job creation in the region.
The project is part of the Afghan government's broader efforts to attract domestic and foreign investment, expand industrial production, and create jobs. Enditem
