India's forex reserves fall by nearly 10 bln USD

NEW DELHI, June 19 (Xinhua) -- India's foreign exchange (forex) reserves decreased by 9.985 billion U.S. dollars to 671.625 billion dollars during the week ended June 12, according to the weekly bulletin released by the country's central bank, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), on Friday.

During the preceding week, the country's forex reserves had fallen by 711 million dollars.

The RBI data further revealed that the Foreign Currency Assets increased by 846 million dollars, and the Gold Reserves decreased by 10.754 billion dollars.

The Special Drawing Rights decreased by 66 million dollars, and the country's position in the International Monetary Fund weakened by 11 million dollars. Enditem
