CAIRO, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Egypt and Türkiye have concluded a joint multi-day air military exercise conducted across several Egyptian airbases, the Egyptian military announced Sunday.
The drills featured joint tactical scenarios and aviation activities involving a selection of the latest multirole fighter jets from both countries, providing an opportunity to exchange tactical expertise, read a statement from the Egyptian Armed Forces.
The drills are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen military cooperation between the Egyptian Air Force and its counterparts from friendly countries, read the statement.
Egypt and Türkiye had strained relations for nearly a decade after 2013. Bilateral ties have gradually improved in recent years, culminating in the mutual reappointment of ambassadors in 2023. Enditem
