TEHRAN -- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on Thursday rejected U.S. claims that Iran's unfrozen assets would be spent on U.S. agricultural products, the latest sign of discord between the two sides over how the released funds should be spent.
In a post on social media platform X, Ghalibaf, also a top Iranian negotiator, wrote that "America falsely claims our unfrozen assets will buy their agriculture. Interesting. The only crop we're harvesting is what you planted: decades of mistrust." (Iran-US-Unfrozen Assets)

JERUSALEM -- Israeli political and military officials on Thursday denied a report according to which the Israeli army had withdrawn from part of the "security zone" it holds in southern Lebanon, Israel's Channel 12 News reported.

BAGHDAD -- The Iraqi Oil Ministry on Thursday refuted media reports that the country is considering leaving the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
Neither the Iraqi prime minister nor the government has raised the issue of withdrawal, the ministry said in a statement, adding that Iraq has consistently emphasized the importance of reassessing production quotas to align with the sustainable production capacities of member states, in accordance with the agreement approved by all relevant countries and the understandings regarding Iraq's security and economic situation.
