CARACAS -- The death toll from two powerful earthquakes that struck northern Venezuela on Wednesday has risen to 188, with 1,520 injured, National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez said Thursday.

WARSAW -- Two trains collided in Bialosliwie in west-central Poland on Thursday, leaving at least three people injured, according to local media reports.

KINSHASA -- The death toll from the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has exceeded 300, as the country steps up control measures to contain the spread of the disease, according to the latest update released by the government Thursday.
