YANGON, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Advanced agricultural machinery has taken center stage at Agri-Tech Myanmar 2026, which opened at the Yangon Convention Center on Friday, with exhibitors showcasing the latest technologies aimed at improving farming productivity and strengthening business cooperation in Myanmar.

The three-day event, running from Friday to Sunday, features over 180 exhibitors, U Zarni, an event organizer, told Xinhua.

Most of the agricultural machinery on display at the expo is manufactured by Chinese companies, he said.

Among the exhibitors, GBS Good Brothers' Group, a Myanmar-based agricultural machinery company, said it is showcasing rice milling equipment and the latest technologies, including color sorters and automatic packaging machines.

All displayed equipment is made in China, meets international standards, and is expected to enhance Myanmar's rice milling production efficiency, product quality, and market competitiveness, Naing Lin Htun, manager of the company, said.

GBS Good Brothers' Group has been continuously working to contribute to the development of Myanmar's agriculture sector and to building a sustainable agricultural system, he said.

Thandar Htet, a clerk from Royal Atlantic Co., Ltd., said the company is displaying rice color sorting machines and spare parts at the expo.

The company has participated in the exhibition many times, and this year's event provides an opportunity to showcase new machines and connect directly with customers, she said.

"We update our machines every year, so we participate in the expo regularly. Displaying them at our shop and at the expo is different because here we meet customers from different regions who can observe the products directly," she said.

The expo allows customers to evaluate the quality of the machines in person rather than relying solely on phone inquiries, she added.

Shing Ni, sales manager at GroTech Myanmar, said the company mainly showcased color sorting machines imported from China.

"We participated in the event to introduce our machines to the public. Our products became well known within a short period because visitors from different regions came to our booth," she said.

The expo helps increase product visibility, allowing more people to become familiar with the machines more quickly than through other marketing channels, she added.

Visitors also shared their impressions of the expo.

Min Zin, who sells animal feed, said, "I saw agricultural machinery, animal feed products, fruits and many other items at the expo. We can see various products in one place. It is really good for us to observe market trends and assess product quality."

Nyunt Win, a farmer, said the event provided a valuable opportunity to explore the latest agricultural technologies and products from both local and international companies.

He added that bringing exhibitors and buyers together in one venue made it easier to compare products, exchange ideas, and establish new business connections. Enditem
