TOKYO -- The Japanese yen sank to the lower 162 zone in Tokyo on Tuesday, marking its weakest level in almost 40 years.

ISLAMABAD -- At least 14 children were killed and several others injured after the roof of a private tuition center collapsed in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore on Tuesday, rescue officials told Xinhua.
The incident occurred in Kahna, a suburban area of Lahore in the eastern Punjab province, where dozens of children were attending tuition classes when the classroom roof suddenly caved in, trapping students beneath the debris, said Farooq Ahmed, a spokesperson of emergency service Rescue 1122. DHAKA -- The Bangladeshi parliament on Tuesday passed a record 9.38 trillion taka (nearly 77 billion U.S. dollars) national budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 (July 2026-June 2027).
