MOSCOW, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Russia increased its gas exports to Europe via the TurkStream pipeline by 5 percent in the first half of 2026, reaching 8.74 billion cubic meters, Russia's TASS news agency reported on Wednesday.
In June, Russian gas exports to Europe via the pipeline declined by 26 percent from May and by 4 percent from June 2025, falling to 1.08 billion cubic meters. The decline was attributed to annual scheduled maintenance on the pipeline.
The TurkStream pipeline, which transports natural gas from Russia to Türkiye across the Black Sea, boasts an annual capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters and supplies gas to Türkiye as well as countries in Southern and Southeastern Europe. It remains the only active route for Russian gas deliveries to Europe following the cessation of transit through Ukraine. Enditem
