NEW YORK, July 2 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended mixed on Thursday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 594.83 points, or 1.14 percent, to 52,900.07. The S&P 500 added 0.01 points to 7,483.24. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 207.36 points, or 0.80 percent, to 25,832.672.
Eight of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in green, with health and consumer staples leading the gainers by adding 2.70 percent and 2.41 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, technology and communication services led the laggards by going down 1.46 percent and 0.83 percent, respectively. Enditem
