JERUSALEM -- The U.S. military on Sunday evacuated refueling planes from southern Israel's Ramon Airport, which is located some 18 km north of the Israeli city of Eilat, after Iran fired a barrage of missiles toward Jordan, Israel's Channel 13 News reported.
Meanwhile, Israel's state-run Kan TV News said commercial passenger flights at the airport were delayed following the missile attacks. (Israel-Attack)

NEW DELHI -- At least eight persons, including children and women, died and over 15 were injured when multiple landslides occurred amid heavy rains in the Mon district of India's north-eastern state of Nagaland on Sunday, a senior district official confirmed.
While four dead bodies had been recovered, efforts were being made to find the other four. Those injured were admitted to a local hospital. (India-Landslides-Deaths)

AMMAN -- Jordan's air defenses intercepted three missiles launched from Iran toward Jordanian territory on Sunday, while a fourth one fell in a remote area in southern Jordan without causing any casualties or material damage, state broadcaster the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation said on social media platform X.
The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army vowed to keep monitoring Jordan's airspace "with the highest levels of readiness" and "deal firmly with any threat" targeting the country, the broadcaster said in a series of new posts.

KABUL -- Afghan security forces have recovered the bodies of five Afghan nationals who were attempting to cross illegally into neighboring Iran through the deserts of western Nimroz province, while 14 others remain missing, local broadcaster TOLOnews reported on Sunday.
The victims were among a group of 19 people who had reportedly set out through remote desert areas spanning Helmand and Nimroz provinces in an attempt to enter Iran. (Afghanistan-Refugees) Enditem
