ST. PETERSBURG, July 22 (Xinhua) -- Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) detained an agent of Ukrainian special services in the St. Petersburg metro after he was found carrying an improvised explosive device disguised as a GPS tracker, RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday.
The device was intended to be attached to the vehicle of an employee of a Russian defense-industrial enterprise, said the FSB's Public Relations Center.
The suspect told investigators during questioning that he had acted on his own initiative in exchange for money, transferred to a cryptocurrency wallet.
The Ukrainian side has not responded to the incident. Enditem
