MANILA, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has dismissed 1,337 police officers for grave offenses since August last year, local media reported on Sunday.
The police officers were discharged due to grave misconduct, and 2,276 others were suspended, 235 demoted, 672 reprimanded, and 100 had their salaries forfeited, the report added.
Meanwhile, 3,524 police officers accused of wrongdoings were exonerated after investigation, according to the PNP. Enditem
