WASHINGTON -- The U.S. State Department on Monday announced that it has revoked more than 175,000 visas since January 2025, when U.S. President Donald Trump began his second term.
"The majority of these visas were revoked due to law enforcement encounters for a range of criminal activity, with assault, driving under the influence, theft, and drug crimes being the leading causes," the department said in a statement. (US-Visa-Revoke)

BANGKOK -- The official, who was shot earlier on Monday in Thailand's Nonthaburi province, has died, according to Thai media reports.
A shooting incident occurred at the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization office building at about 11 a.m. local time. Thongchai Yenprasert, president of the provincial administrative organization, was shot in the head and rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, and was later confirmed dead. BOGOTA -- The death toll from a magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck western Colombia on Monday has risen to 111 nationwide, with 87 others injured, Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella said in Bogota.
De la Espriella said the quake damaged 1,575 homes and infrastructure at six airports, where commercial flight operations have been suspended.
