CAIRO, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- At least 15 people were killed and 32 others injured after a pickup truck carrying workers overturned in Egypt's northeastern Ismailia governorate, the Egyptian Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
The ministry said the figures were preliminary, adding that the injured were transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The ministry's crisis and emergency operations room is closely following developments in coordination with local health authorities, according to the statement.
Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar ordered that the injured receive the highest level of medical care and that their conditions be continuously monitored, the statement said.
The ministry said efforts were ongoing to verify casualty figures and follow up on the condition of the injured. Enditem
