BOGOTA -- The death toll from Monday's 7.4-magnitude earthquake in western Colombia has risen to 188, with 1,677 others injured, the Colombian Association of Capital Cities, or Asocapitales, said Tuesday.

JERUSALEM -- Israel and Venezuela have agreed to renew consular ties for the first time in 17 years despite the absence of diplomatic relations, Israel's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group said Tuesday that it had targeted what it described as a Saudi military equipment transport ship in the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait, as well as Saudi-backed forces in the government-held areas of Mocha and Marib.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, the Houthis' military media center said the group's forces had carried out an operation targeting "a Saudi military equipment transport ship" in Bab al-Mandab.
