JAKARTA -- At least six people have died after a passenger vessel lost contact in Indonesia's Java Sea, while 130 remain missing and 107 others have been rescued, the country's National Search and Rescue Agency said Sunday.
Indonesian Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi said at a press conference later Sunday afternoon that, based on observations by a helicopter crew, the vessel had capsized but had not sunk. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. (Indonesia-Vessel-Accident)

JOHANNESBURG -- Eight people, including two minors, were killed in a head-on collision in South Africa's northeastern Mpumalanga Province early Sunday morning, local authorities said.

TEHRAN -- At least one person was killed and three others were wounded after an Iranian commercial ship was targeted by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday morning, the country's state-run IRIB news agency reported.
