Renewable Energy and Energy-Saving Expo to Be Held in June

The Second Renewable Energy and Energy-Saving Expo will be held in the Beijing National Agriculture Exhibition Center from June 1st to 3rd, Xinhuanet reported on Wednesday.

 

There will be 200 institutes and enterprises in the fields of solar energy, wind power, methane and others taking part in the expo.

 

The expo contains two parts. The first includes energy management departments in rural areas and scientific institutes which will mainly show energy construction achievements in the building of the new socialist countryside.

 

The second part is focused on enterprises to show renewable energy, energy-saving technologies and products.

 

The secretary-general of the expo organizing committee Wang Zhengyuan expressed that the expo is aimed at forming an exchange and cooperation platform for government, enterprises and institutes. The expo will also be an education platform for pupils, as experts will make lectures during the expo.

 

The first expo was held in April, 2002 with 200 enterprises on show and 20,000 visitors.
